Known Issues

We list issues that can occur when working with Screen. Each of them can be easily avoided.
Fullscreen video freeze in Chrome
Certain (e.g. YouTube) videos played in Google Chrome browser freeze in a few seconds after going fullscreen. It is a known error that has something to do with Chrome usage of HW acceleration combined with usage of the MPEG HW encoder. If you run into that problem, you can either use Safari (recommended) or switch off Chrome HW Acceleration (Chrome->Settings->Advanced Settings->System->uncheck: Use hardware acceleration when available).
Note that if you decide to switch off the HW support for Chrome, there can be sometimes introduced 100~200 ms time shift between audio and video (which you can correct by +/- buttons at the right top edge of the display).
Screen dimming with Chrome
Chrome uses fade in/out animations when goes to/from full screen - that functionality sometimes interferes with Screen dimming behavior. You can either use Safari (works without issues) or do not use dimming in combination with Chrome.
