Local media: Sound & Auto Stopping
The app uses a streaming manager that is independent from the video being played in the browser. That means that you do not have to let video play when streaming, what's more, it is even better to stop longer videos to save battery.
Given the fact that videos are usually surrounded by ads, the app also provides a functionality for muting video sound only (while video keeps playing).

Note that the auto-stop interval is always measured from the start of TV streaming, not from the start of local video playing.
